Now we must learn how to care for the newborn child. We must welcome him with love and respect...

ABOUT sESLIE

I’m Seslie, a credentialed Montessori Infant-Toddler Guide, postpartum doula, and parent living in North Canterbury. I’m passionate about nurturing families in the earliest years of life.

My work is grounded in Montessori philosophy and responsive care. I believe in honoring each family’s unique rhythms and creating a space where parents feel truly seen and empowered in their abilities to care for their children.

It’s important to me that this support is affirming, inclusive, and accessible to all. That’s why I offer services on a pay-what-you-can basis, so every family can receive the care they deserve.

Services

As a postpartum doula, I provide non-medical support and do not diagnose.

Nesting & Environmental Design

Whether it’s setting up a cozy feeding corner, arranging baby care items so they’re easy to reach, or helping you prepare a space for your little one to explore as they grow, I’m here to guide you in designing an environment that feels just right for your family.

Postpartum Doula Support

  • Hold space for rest, recovery, and connection in the early weeks after birth

  • Gentle, compassionate care following miscarriage, stillbirth, or infant loss

  • Loving support for siblings as they adjust to life with a new baby

  • Infant feeding support and guidance

  • Light housework: folding, sorting, washing

Future Offerings

  • I’m currently completing a Full Spectrum Lactation Educator training with Birthing Advocacy Doula Trainings, which is expanding my ability to offer inclusive, evidence-based infant feeding support.

Once I’ve completed my training, I hope to offer in-person classes and support to families in my community.

  • A Montessori playgroup for caregivers and infants up to 6 months old.
A safe and nurturing space to connect with others, offer non-judgmental support, and allow your infant to explore and move freely in a safe, prepared environment.

HOW IT WORKS

Contact me to schedule your free, no-obligation consultation. This is an opportunity for us to discuss the types of support you want during your postpartum recovery and determine if I’m the right fit for your family.

From there, we’ll create a plan together and book your sessions. I’m available on Saturdays and Sundays, and you can choose between 2 or 3-hour visits, depending on what feels best for you. I currently only work within Woodend, Kaiapoi, Rangiora, and the surrounding areas.

Invoices are sent after each session. I offer a pay-what-you-can model. No family is ever turned away due to financial circumstances.

My practice is rooted in compassion, cultural humility, and deep respect for each family's unique needs.

As a postpartum doula, I aim to support families of all backgrounds, cultures, and identities.
